Stainless steel has a long tradition in the construction industry and is characterised by its long service life and minimal maintenance costs. The versatile processing capabilities of stainless steel have changed the perspective of utility in stainless steel pool construction.

Stainless Steel
The decisive criteria for choosing the right stainless steel for swimming pools are mainly the chloride content of the pool water and the water temperature. The temperature is determined by the investor, and the chloride and other chemical content of the water is determined by water analysis.
Today, almost more than 80% of stainless steel swimming pools are already made of chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel 1.4404, 316L
In addition to the above, corrosion-resistant steels can also be used for surfaces that can be easily cleaned:
- 1.4404 (X2CrNiMo17-12-2) for swimming pools with water of drinking water quality
- 1.4462 (X2CrNiMon22-5-3) for thermal and therapeutic waters, for moderate salinity of pool water
- 1.4547 (X1CrNiMoCuN20-18-7, 254 SMO for structures that cannot be cleaned regularly or for pool water with high chloride content
If you are unsure, Berndorf Bäderbau technicians will help you choose the right stainless steel material for your pool.
In addition to high-quality stainless steel materials, we also use other materials in the production of swimming pools:
- Titanium - with the salinity level of Dead Sea water
- Glass, acrylic glass - for making pool walls more attractive
- GFK - fibreglass
- PP - polypropylene for channel cover grates
- Stone for alternative channel covering
- PC - polycarbonate for surface roller shutters
- PVC - polyvinyl chloride for surface roller shutters
